About Us

Being an average radio control (RC) racer is, surprisingly, one of the most rewarding experiences you can have in the RC world! We are not at the front of the pack, nor are we bringing up the rear—We sit comfortably in the middle, lap after lap, race after race. We rarely hoist a first-place trophy and make it to the podium, but we also try not to walk away in frustration because we couldn’t keep the car on the track. We are the definition of an Average Joe in RC racing.

Average Joe RC Racing

And you know what? We are perfectly okay with that! There’s a quiet satisfaction in being steady, consistent, and reliable—not flashy, but not invisible either. We show up, We race, We have fun, and we go home with a smile. No pressure to chase sponsorships, no expectation to win every heat, just the pure joy of competition and camaraderie. We have found our place in the pit lane, talking setups with the guys who win and encouraging the newcomers who are still figuring out which end of the car is the front.

We have learned that RC racing isn’t just about crossing the finish line first; it’s about community, shared knowledge, and the love of driving tiny machines at high speeds. Being an Average Joe means we get to focus on what we love—tuning, tweaking, and trying new things—without the stress of perfection. Our toolboxes are worn, tires are used, and our radios have seen better days, but everything works just fine. If you’re someone who’s afraid to jump into RC racing because you think you have to be the best, we are here to tell you: you don’t. The track needs people like us—the middle-packers, the weekend warriors, the ones who just want to run clean laps and maybe pass someone if the opportunity arises. You can be part of the race without being the race. There’s dignity in the middle. It’s where friendships are built and lessons are learned. Being average means you have room to improve, but no pressure to dominate. Every race is a chance to get a little better, or just enjoy the ride.

So if you’ve got a beat-up buggy, a secondhand radio, and the desire to have some real fun, come join the ranks of the Average Joes.

We’re out there every weekend, laughing in the pits, helping each other fix broken arms and solder wires, and cheering on anyone brave enough to give it a shot. We’re the glue that holds the racing scene together—not because we win, but because we keep showing up. So don’t worry about being fast. Don’t worry about being perfect. Just come race. Be average. Be consistent. Be part of something bigger than a trophy.

Because when the dust settles and the cars stop buzzing, you’ll find out what we already know: being an Average Joe RC Racer might just be the best spot on the track!
